When was the last time you intentionally spoke to yourself?
Like out loud in the mirror. 🗣
Our mind sometimes can forget… What of our self talk is ourselves, and what of our self talk is someone else.
Is our stress🤬
Is our pain😰
Is our past🥴
We are born ONLY feeling love for ourselves, so anything else you hear in your mind is NOT your authentic self!
Practicing getting away from negative self talk can look like taking these steps⤵️
1st: Identify some of the main statements you make to yourself in a day/week. Your job is that of an observer. 🕵🏼♀️
What are the most common things you say to yourself?
2nd: Write them down and when you notice them the most; situations, people, feelings/emotions that trigger these negative thoughts.
3rd: What about this is familiar?
How long have you been saying it to yourself?
Who’s voice is it actually?
(Ex.-my parents/siblings/teacher/coach/ex/boss said this to me)
4th: Intentionally replace negative self-talk with neutral or positive affirmations, and repeat DAILY.
5th: Experience a more fulfilling, joyful, meaningful, and balanced life. 😎
